Wayback Burgers and Molte Pizze are hiring friendly, dependable, and hard-working individuals to join our team at our brand new Emerson location. This store features all-new, state-of-the-art equipment and an inviting outdoor seating area.

Job Responsibilities:

Greet customers as they enter and exit the restaurant
Handle cash and credit card transactions using the POS system
Cross-sell and introduce new products to customers
Prepare milkshakes and maintain a clean, well-stocked dining area
Assist with food preparation, including various pizzas, salads, burgers, side dishes, and other chef-inspired menu items
Operate kitchen equipment such as flat-top grill and fryer
Multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

Punctual, dependable, and friendly with a positive attitude
Basic math and communication skills
Good time management and willingness to learn
Ability to take direction and work well with others

Compensation:

Base pay starts at $16.50/hour
With tips, average daily earnings range from $18.50-$19.50/hour
Full-time and part-time positions available

Other Duties

Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
Assist in the cooking process by following recipes and cooking instructions provided by the head chef or kitchen manager.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper food handling and storage practices.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe working environment.
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
Participate in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing recipes.
Cashier responsibilities including greet customers and handle cash and credit card transactions

Requirements

Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and food safety standards is highly desirable.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant's schedule.
A passion for cooking and a desire to grow within the culinary field.
Basic knowledge of working on a flat top grill
