We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook & Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious and appealing meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and menu plans. This role is essential in supporting the dietary department's mission to provide high-quality food service that meets the needs of our residents or clients. Responsibilities

Prepare a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary requirements.
Assist in menu planning, ensuring that meals are balanced, nutritious, and appealing.
Maintain high standards of food handling and hygiene practices in the kitchen.
Ensure efficient meal service.
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to ensure it meets safety standards.
Help manage inventory, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
Participate in training sessions related to culinary skills, food safety, and dietary regulations.
Ensure compliance with all health regulations and safety standards within the kitchen environment.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a cook or dietary aide in a professional kitchen setting; experience in a dietary or healthcare environment is preferred.
Strong knowledge of food handling practices, food safety regulations, and culinary techniques.
Ability to plan menus that cater to various dietary needs while maintaining taste and presentation.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to work collaboratively with other staff members within the dietary department.
Certification in food safety or culinary arts is a plus but not required.
A passion for cooking and providing high-quality meals that enhance the dining experience for clients or residents.
