Juno, an acclaimed sushi restaurant in Lincoln Park, is seeking a full-time sous chef to join our team.
Duties
- Manage food preparation, assist with stocking and setting up the kitchen stations, food inventory and management of supplies
- Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients, cooking and plating hot kitchen food items and dessert
- Compliance with food handling and sanitation standards
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
- Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment while maintaining the highest standard of food quality
- Dependable team player, reliable, self-motivated, punctual, hard-working with a willingness to learn
Requirements
- Must be flexible & able to work late evenings, & holidays (if need be)
- Knowledge in Health/Safety standards, Consistency & Service Standards expected at a Michelin Rated Fine Dining Establishment
- Skilled in working in a stressful & fast paced environment, problem solving, communication, organization, food consistency & standards
- ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Minimum 3 years of kitchen experience
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $21-22 per hour + tips BASED ON EXPERIENCE
