Shift : 5am to 1 : 30pm and / or 6am to 2 : 30pm depending on needs of business
Chinese Cuisine specialist preferred
Cook will be responsible for our two new Chinese units in our hospital.
The primary purpose of your job position is to prepare food in accordance with current applicable Federal, State, and Local standards, guidelines and regulations, with our established policies and procedures, and as may be directed by Director of Food Services and / or Administrator, to assure that quality food service is provided as all times.
Job Summary :
Review menu prior to food preparation.
Inspect special diet trays to assure that the correct diet is served to the resident.
Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc. for submissionto the Dietary Director.
Coordinates Dietary service with other departments as necessary.
Works with the facility's Dietary Director as necessary and implement recommended changes as required.
Ensures that all dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies.
Assists in standardizing the methods in which work will be accomplished.
Processes diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Departments.
Develops and maintaisn a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as with other departments within the facility to assure that food service can be properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
Qualifications :
Ability to read, speak and understand English
Ability to follow and complete directions and tasks in a timely manner
Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
Must have a Food Handlers Card
