Philippe Chow, the iconic name in upscale Chinese dining, is seeking a talented and passionate Chef de Cuisine to lead our culinary team at our Downtown NYC location.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Were looking for a hands-on kitchen leader with expert wok skills, strong culinary creativity, and a proven track record of managing a high-volume, high-quality kitchen. The Chef de Cuisine will lead the back-of-house team, execute Philippes signature Beijing-style cuisine, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, safety, and team performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and oversee daily kitchen operations
Execute and maintain consistency on all Philippe Chow dishes
Develop new seasonal menu items in line with brand identity
Maintain food cost, inventory, and vendor relationships
Enforce cleanliness, food safety, and DOH compliance
Build and mentor a skilled, motivated culinary team
Collaborate with FOH to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 5 years experience as Sous Chef or above
Strong knowledge of Asian cuisine, particularly Chinese
Expert with wok cooking techniques
Strong leadership and team-building skills
NYC Food Handlers Certificate required
NYC Food Protection Certificate preferred
Creative and detail-oriented approach to culinary execution
