Job Details Job Description: Nettare is looking to bring on a Chef de Partie to join our back-of-house team. The main focus of this role will be executing and maintaining our lunch and dinner services. This includes contributing to the prep and execution of dishes, managing a specific station, and supporting the overall kitchen operations. This role is ideal for someone who works well independently, thrives with lots of creativity, and is very organized.About Us: Nettare is a distinctive cafe, bar, and restaurant in Chicago's West Town, where we aim to celebrate the rich culinary heritage of the Midwest and Great Lakes region, infused with European traditions. Our commitment to local sourcing means we partner almost exclusively with the dedicated farms and producers of our region, bringing their exceptional products to life in every cocktail, dish, and pastry we offer.Responsibilities:
  • Manage and execute a specific station during both lunch and dinner services.
  • Ensure all mise en place is prepared accurately and efficiently for service.
  • Execute dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu execution and development.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or equivalent role in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of various cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for working with seasonal, local ingredients.
  • Food handler's certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
Compensation:
  • $23 - $25 per hour.
Work Expectations:
  • Full-time position, 4-5 shifts per week at 35-40 hours.
