Full Time Nutrition Services/Cook-Baker (Internal)

Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented individual to join our Nutrition Services team as a full-time Cook/Baker. Position: Cook/Baker (Full-Time) (TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE) Start Date: August 2025 Rate of Pay: $17.58/hour Hours: 6.5 hours/day

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical

• Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the daily requirements of the position

• Must have a willingness to assist other kitchens and positions outside of the primary kitchen as needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to follow all health and safety regulations

• Prepare and cook/bake food items according to menus, portion requirements, and dietary restrictions

• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Perform and document routine inspections and maintenance activities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and service areas

• Communicate effectively with staff, students, and guests

• Maintain a sanitary, safe, and attractive environment

• Work independently in the absence of specific instructions or continuous supervision

• Pay close attention to detail while preparing meals and following food safety protocols
