At a Glance!: Lower Columbia College (LCC) is looking for a part-time Food Service Worker Lead who is a team player with excellent customer service and office skills to support our Red Devil Cafe! This individual will perform routine, behind-the-scenes tasks that are essential to the success of our catering events and cafeteria operations. Responsibilities include assisting with administrative and inventory duties, supporting catering operations, cashiering, and other tasks as assigned.
This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours to support special events or catering needs.
This position is categorized as a non-permanent Food Service Worker Lead under the State of Washington Class Specification and requires in-person work. It reports directly to the Food Services Manager and is limited to no more than 19 hours per week and 75 hours per month or less.

- Filing paperwork
- Making and printing labels for food shelves, grab & go boxes, etc.
- Labeling dry storage room
- Labeling catering storage room
- Inventorying all food & beverage items as well as dry goods to help prepare Food Service Manager for weekly purchases
- Delegating food preparation tasks to Food Service employees
- Cashiering
- Documenting catering invoices post-catering events
- Documenting cost of goods for all current recipes with various suppliers
- Researching & developing new catering menu options
- Communicating with all catering clients to confirm final menus, prices, etc.
- Work in a professional manner
- Exhibit independent work skills, leadership, and flexibility
- Train student employees in accordance with program philosophy and policies
- Exhibit intent to increase knowledge, skill, and personal growth
- Attend and contribute to staff meetings and Food Service team meetings
- In consultation with the supervisor, develop professional work goals & training plans
- Participate in training as requested
- Performs other duties as assigned

- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Current or willingness to obtain and maintain Food Handlers card.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in a lead or supervisory role in food service or related fields.
