The company is seeking a reliable and motivated Pastry Chef / Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. If you love being in the kitchen, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy working around delicious treats, this is the role for you! While baking experience is a plus, it's not required the company is happy to train the right person. What is required is a passion for food, a strong work ethic, and a valid Food Safety Manager Certification.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and baking of pastries, pies, and other baked goods.

Follow standard recipes to ensure quality and consistency.

Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients with precision.

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized workstation.

Wash and store kitchen tools, dishes, and equipment.

Support other kitchen staff and shift leads during service hours.

Maintain food safety and sanitation standards at all times.

Pay Details: Hourly Pay - 36 hours per week.

Requirements:

Food Safety Manager Certification (required).

Basic kitchen knowledge and food prep skills.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately.

Positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment.

Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced kitchen.

Availability to work weekends is a must.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.

Must be available for weekends (required).

Preferred Qualifications:

1 year of pastry or baking experience (preferred but not required).

Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.

Background Requirements:

Candidates must pass a drug screen and background check. Convictions will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. However, company policy does not permit the employment of candidates with some classes/types of convictions.
