Job Details Located in the West Village, Barbuto is a bustling restaurant serving California-inspired Italian dishes to a neighborhood clientele as well as visitors from around the world. Opened in 2004 by Chef Jonathan Waxman, the easy going atmosphere and technical approach to cooking have made Barbuto a staple of the New York restaurant scene.

Responsibilities include:
  • Ideally looking for a candidate with experience cooking pasta!
  • Food preparation: Washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning ingredients
  • Cooking: Baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking
  • Plating: Creating finished products that are tasty, attractive, and properly cooked
  • Cleaning: Keeping food preparation equipment clean, including grills, broilers, ovens, steamer tables, mixers, microwave ovens, and toasters
  • Safety: Following facility safety programs and conducting work tasks safely
  • Customer service: Responding to customer orders and providing courteous service to guests, coworkers, and residents

Compensation: Hourly ($22.00 - $26.00)
