Position: Grill Cook
Our Chefs ensure that Abby's food creations are a passport' to a culinary journey of cultural and diverse preferences. Innovation, trend setting menus, highest customer satisfaction is the signature of Abby's Catering. Our culinary team will make sure our customers enjoy an unforgettable dining experience while adhering to the highest food safety standards of the industry.
Reports to: Executive Chef
To him/her report: Prep-Cooks, Helpers
Essential functions:
Leadership, Management and Accountability
Passionate about Gourmet Food
Comply with all Food Safety rules and regulations
Ability to read and execute corporate recipes
Clean and Sanitize station as needed and at end of shift
Keeping waste logs up to date for financial controlling review
Complete all FSQ logs in real time with accordance with FSQ standards
Follow working / batch recipes using the proper tools (e.g. scales, scoops etc.)
Ability to cook breakfast orders a la minute with a high sense of urgency, to customer's specifications.
Ability to cook lunch orders with a high sense of urgency to customer's specifications

Requirements
Requirements, but not limited to: This position requires a Monday - Friday work schedule, within a breakfast & lunch work environment. The Business Dining industry is a year-round business and certain peak times of the year are blackout periods for PTO (paid time off), e.g. year end, summer. This position requires experience in eye for detail, multitasking with several orders and demanding Accountability and a high degree of accuracy (highest product quality, highest productivity output, complying with all food safety rules and regulations).
Qualifications
Be a self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
Ability to work early morning to afternoon shifts and overtime as needed
Strong organizational, communication and cleanliness skills
Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Ability to read and speak English fluently
Highly flexible and analytical, pro-active team player
Excellent knowledge of food and hygiene standards
Must hold a valid Food Handlers Certificate, recognized by local authorities (e.g., SERV Safe).
Meticulous time management skills with the ultimate attention to detail
3+ years of Grill cook experience is required
