At Northland Heights Senior Living, located in the North Hills, we are hiring a passionate Lead Chef to help cultivate a wonderful dining experience for our residents. As our Lead Chef, you will have the opportunity to show off your culinary skills, assist in curating the menu alongside our Culinary Director, and help maintain a clean and healthy kitchen environment by compliance standards.

Daily Responsibilities:

Cooks and handles foods in large quantities that are palatable, appetizing, and attractively presented.

Assists with training cooks on how to properly prepare, cook, and present meals in a manner that is safe and sanitary.

Helps create new menu cycles seasonally with the Culinary Director to comply with resident nutritional needs and requests.

Help to maintain the inventory of food on hand and assures that the inventory is sufficient to permit preparation and service of meals in the event of an emergency for a minimum of three days.

Assist the Culinary Director with standardizing production recipes to ensure consistent quality while making independent decisions based on education and experience.

Follows a schedule and assists with placing orders for all food items needed for operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience Requirements: 2 years' experience in restaurant leadership.

Lifting Requirements: up to 50 pounds.

Ability to cook and manage a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Experience with kitchen compliance standards.

Experience with special diets, seasoning requirements, cooking times, and temperature controls.
