Bardea Restaurant Group , a James Beardnominated hospitality group in Wilmington, Delaware, is seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our growing team. This position supports our bread and pastry programs across multiple concepts, including the award-winning Bardea Food & Drink and Bardea Steak .
Ideal candidates are:
Experienced in artisan bread, laminated doughs, and plated desserts
Passionate about quality, seasonality, and technique
Organized, efficient, and early to rise
Collaborative and eager to grow in a high-level culinary environment
Responsibilities include:
Mixing, shaping, and baking breads and pastries
Monitoring fermentation and proofing processes
Preparing mise en place for daily service and production
Supporting pastry plating for lunch and dinner service (as needed)
Maintaining cleanliness and food safety standards
Requirements:
13 years of baking or pastry experience in a professional kitchen
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
Flexible schedule with early morning availability
Culinary or pastry degree a plus, but not required
