Position Summary

We are seeking a Lead Pastry Cook with a passion for precision, creativity, and collaboration. This role supports the Pastry Chef in the daily execution of Spagos dessert menu, including a la carte service, prep, and special events. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in pastry fundamentals and thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume fine dining environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their craft and is ready to lead by example.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Executive Chef and Pastry Chef in executing plated desserts, breads, and pastry components to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

  • Lead and support the pastry team during service and production, ensuring efficiency and organization.

  • Produce and oversee mise en place for assigned station, maintaining quality control and proper storage.

  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and safety standards in all pastry areas.

  • Uphold and reinforce Wolfgang Puck Fine Dining standards for timing, technique, and aesthetics.

  • Help train and mentor junior pastry team members.

  • Contribute to menu testing, seasonal updates, and special event execution as needed.

Qualifications
  • 4 years of professional pastry experience , including at least 1 year in an upscale or fine dining restaurant.

  • Degree in Pastry Arts or equivalent hands-on experience required.

  • Strong understanding of classic and contemporary pastry techniques.

  • Experience working in high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environments is highly preferred.

  • Strong knife skills, organization, time management, and attention to detail.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work nights, weekends, and holidays.

  • A team-first mindset, positive attitude, and passion for excellence are essential.
