FoodSmith Bistro Pub seeks Line Cook
Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays
2pm - 9pm or 10pm
*Sorry, we do NOT have morning or lunch hours
+Food preparation, cooking and plating
+Ensure that high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
+Assist the Executive Chef/Owner in preparing entrees
+Ensuring that food items are stored at the correct temperatures
+Assign, direct and guide other line and prep cooks in daily task/prep completion
+Be knowledgeable of various cooking techniques and have a passion for food
+Work in a fast-paced environment
+Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
+Wash, peel, cut, and slice fruits and vegetables as well as marinate meats
+Prepare soups, salads, and sauces according to house recipes
+Plate and garnish meal items
+Supervise line and prep cooks to ensure prep is completed
+Stock all cooking stations with the necessary meal ingredients and cooking equipment
+Clean and disinfect cooking stations before and after each shift
+Adhere to standard food rotation practices to reduce food wastage and minimize the risk of contamination
+Assess quality of delivered food supplies to ensure that it meets restaurant standards
