Recently, we've landed some exciting wholesale opportunities and are looking to add one more quick, dedicated, and reliable team player to our growing team.
All new hires are probationary for first 90 days and La Patisserie is an At-Will Employer.
Job Description
This catch-all position is critical to ensuring our bakery runs smoothly by assisting with dough production, croissant shaping, cakes, cookies, scones, fillings, buttercreams, pastry creams, cleaning, dishwashing, kitchen prep, and various baking tasks with room to grow. If you're someone who enjoys working behind the scenes, is a quick learner, and doesn't mind getting your hands dirty, this could be a perfect fit for you.
We are seeking someone with open availability who wants full-time hours. We require all full-time members to take turnspleting our bake off shift (starts 4 AM weekdays) in rotation with other staff with the goal that each person would only need to do this 1x or 2x a week depending on team and business needs in a given week.
Key Responsibilities
Bake prep and bake off
Prep Work: Assist with basic kitchen tasks such as measuring ingredients, prepping dough, mixing batters, or other simple tasks under the direction of team-mate or manager.
Dishwashing: Wash dishes, utensils, bakeware, and kitchen equipment to ensure the back of house remains clean andanized.
with day-to-day baking operations, including assembling ingredients, packing special orders and handling other tasks as assigned
Cleaning: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen and bakery areas, including floors, counters, equipment, taking out trash/recycling, as assigned.
Resetting Kitchen & Prepping for next shift's crew
Storage & Organization: Ensure that ingredients and supplies are properly labeled, stored, andanized in the kitchen, following food safety standards.
Team Support: Jump in w needed, whether it's helping with packaging finished products,anizing, or prepping stations for the next baking shift.
Decorating tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Exceptional ability to take and implement feedback
Hard working; Mature; Reliable; Shows Up on time and takes ownership of their prep list to get the job done
Constantly works to up-level themselves, learn from and fix mistakes, and accountability to team
Looks for ways to make life easier for next shift, managers, owners, and team-mates
Open or versatile availability or able to maintain set schedule
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
Basic kitchen experience preferred but not required (we're happy to train the right candidate)
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up 50+ lbs
Strong focus, work ethic and willingness to handle a variety of tasks
Reliable, punctual, coachable and able to follow instructions well
A positive attitude and ability to work well with others in a team setting
Current Food Handler's Certification & willing to obtain Food Manager's Certificate in first 90 days
