Essential Functions (Duties include but are not limited to): \n

\n

  • Manage all aspects of the kitchen including operational, quality and administrative functions \n
  • Manage the provision of food to Food and Beverage and Banquet outlets and taking action where necessary to ensure compliance with current legislation \n
  • Assist in positive outcomes from guest queries in a timely and efficient manner \n
  • Ensure foods are of good quality and stored correctly \n
  • Contribute to menu creation by responding and incorporating Guest feedback \n
  • Ensure the consistent production of high quality food through all hotel food outlets \n
  • Ensure resources support the business needs through the effective management of working rotations \n
  • Support brand standards through the training and assessment of the Team \n
  • Manage the kitchen brigade effectively to ensure a well-organized, motivated Team \n
  • Control costs without compromising standards, improving gross profit margins and other departmental and financial targets \n
  • Assist other departments wherever necessary and maintain good working relationships \n
  • Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety and food safety legislation \n
  • Report maintenance, hygiene and hazard issues \n
  • Cook for banquet events \n \n

Job Requirements: \n

\n

  • Experience in catering and restaurants \n
  • Must be able to communicate clearly to restaurant servers, managers, and other culinary personnel \n
  • Ability to follow recipes and menu specifics \n
  • Ability to reach, bend and frequently lift up-to 45 pounds \n
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule dependent on banquet events \n \n
