Job Details Nationally recognized Bang Bang Pie & Biscuits in Logan Square is looking for a very eager, self motivated, and good-natured human to work in our busy cafe. Line cooks prepare savory items on the line including biscuit sandwiches, grits, pot pies, and more for our cafe guests, as well as prepping items in the bakery and for our catering and wholesale clients. Positive vibes, respect for all, and the ability to work as a team and support your colleagues is a must. Multi tasking, attention to detail, and the ability to work a busy hot line plating dishes consistently throughout the shift is required. Looking exclusively for Wednesday - Sunday morning to afternoon availability. The role will be focused more on savory menu prep in addition to working the line. Competitive hourly pay + portion of pooled tips consistently averages above $21/hour and will increase as we get busier for the spring and summer patio season! No late hours! 1. Performing prep tasks in timely and consistent manner as assigned
2. Working in accordance with all Chicago health standards, as well as having a current
food handlers certificate.
3. Keeping walk-in organized and clean at all times (including consolidation, FIFO)
4. Putting orders away when they arrive in organized manner
5. Washing own dishes when the dishwasher is not scheduled as well as helping when
necessary while the dishwasher is scheduled.
6. Be able to prep/execute all recipes on prep list
7. Perform deep clean tasks when there is down time
8. Take direction from lead line cook as well as kitchen/wholesale managers
9. Maintain standards for quality for all products.
10. Work in a clean and sanitary manner
11. Perform any opening/mid-shift/closing procedures in place
12. Ability to lift 50+ lbs consistently. Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($17.00 - $21.00) plus tips
Estimated Weekly Tips: $240
