Job DetailsCasa Nela, the Restaurant Group behind popular New York neighborhood restaurants like Rosemary's West Village, Rosemary's East, Roey's, Claudette, and Bobo, is looking for a Sous Chef to join our Opening Team. As we prepare to expand our footprint with the eagerly anticipated Rosemary's Miami in the fall, we're seeking a dynamic individual who shares our passion for food and commitment to excellence.
Summary of Position:The Sous Chef will be responsible for supervising the day to day operations at the restaurant including production of food at all stations, assisting the cooks when needed, as well as supporting the Executive Chef in all aspects of food cost and labor cost control. The Sous Chef should assume command and manage all aspects of the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Chef. He/she should have accurate knife skills, the ability to read and follow recipes, train employees, and maintain health department, food quality, and company standards. This position will require a lot of training with a positive attitude!
Requirements:
-Open availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as requested
-Pasta making experience required
-At least 5 years cooking in a high-volume kitchen, with at least 2 of those years in a management or supervisory role
-Opening Experience as a BOH Manager/Supervisor
-Experience with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Google Suite (sheets, docs, gmail, etc) and working with POS systems, R365, and other technology is required
-Self-motivated, inspiring, positive attitude and eager for growth
