The Executive Chef will lead the functions and overall strategy of the culinary department at Suncadia Resort. This work includes providing oversight and leadership of our two main restaurants & bars (The Source & The Stovehouse), a coffee shop, seasonal outlets (pool bars, food trucks, etc.), and banquets. The Executive Chef provides oversight, strategy, leadership, and guidance to culinary leadership and the broader culinary staff. Reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage and in partnership with front-of-house management and other resort leaders, the Executive Chef drives culinary innovation to create memorable guest experiences and to reach revenue goals.
Annual Salary Range: $130,000.00 - $145,000.00

Responsibilities- Maintain professional guest relations
- Display knowledge of food preparation
- Selecting, training, scheduling, supervising, and counseling employees according to Suncadia policies and procedures
- Create budget for culinary department / food cost
- Implement necessary controls to insure proper return on investment
- Develop relationships with vendors
- Comply with health inspector requirements
- Complete all paperwork as assigned
- Coordinate smooth operation of food preparation line by supervising line staff
- Prepare food as required
- Direct cleanliness of kitchen area
- Maintain resort kitchen equipment
- Display knowledge of safe operation of kitchen equipment
- Maintain security of kitchen area
- Direct control of food and labor costs
- Train staff in use of working menus, recipe cards, and photograph standards
- Direct staff in sanitary food handling techniques
- Display understanding of Suncadia appearance standards
- Attend all mandatory meetings
- Complete other duties as assigned, to include cross training.
- Minimum 5+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high volume restaurant, resort/hotel kitchen environment
- Ability to work well with others
- Able to communicate well with staff and customer
- Active Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain one
- Ability to work flexible hours and days
- Ability to read and communicate through written menu requirements
- Supervisory skills including training, communication, and organization
- Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that will include evenings, weekends and holidays
- Ability to work well with others and function well in a fast paced environment
