Were looking for an experienced culinary professional to join our team as Chef de Cuisine someone who embodies our ethos of honest, soul-warming food rooted in solid technique and thoughtful execution. Qualifications

  • Previous experience as Chef De Cuisine or Executive Sous Chef
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate efficiently with team
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively in a high volume kitchen
  • Knowledge of jewish american, ashkenazi, sephardic, eastern european and levantine cuisines is a plus but not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, train, inspire and mentor a collaborative and professional kitchen team
  • Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and accountability across BOH
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment

Menu & Culinary Development

  • Collaborate with ownership on seasonal, holiday and catering menus
  • Ensure consistency, quality, and execution of all dishes
  • Manage recipe testing, costing, and COGS tracking for all menu items

Kitchen Operations & Efficiency

  • Oversee inventory and ordering
  • Manage food and labor costs, kitchen budgets, and waste reduction
  • Ensure kitchen organization, cleanliness, and adherence to safety standards
  • Maintain deep-cleaning and equipment maintenance schedules

Quality & Service

  • Actively support smooth service in coordination with FOH
  • Be a visible leader during service, open to guest feedback and engagement

Administrative & Strategic

  • Attend weekly manager meetings
  • Track and report on kitchen metrics: labor, COGS, efficiency
  • Align culinary goals with broader business objectives
Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($80,000.00 - $85,000.00)
