Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at Avon Elementary School. This is a part-time position that requires a self-motivated and organized individual who is passionate about providing healthy and nutritious meals to students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and prepare daily meals for students, adhering to all dietary restrictions and guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and order necessary supplies in a timely manner
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following all health and safety regulations
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, delegating tasks as needed
- Coordinate with school administration and staff to ensure smooth operation of the kitchen
- Keep accurate records of meal preparation and inventory
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a commercial kitchen setting
- Knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, and food safety regulations
- Ability to lead and train kitchen staff effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening test
Schedule:
5:30 am - 1:00 pm Monday - Friday
7.5 hours per day
Works on all student contact days
Wage:
$18.13 - $22.12 per hour
