Sous Chef - Staple & Fancy (Ballard, Seattle)

Staple & Fancy is a standout in Ballard's food scene, serving up Italian-inspired dishes with a modern twist, seasonal tasting menus, and exceptional service in a warm, intimate setting. We're hiring a Sous Chef who's hands-on, detail-driven, and ready to take their skills to the next level in a supportive, fast-paced kitchen.

What You'll Do

  • Run all stations and support BOH operations

  • Maintain high standards for food quality and presentation

  • Lead by example with professionalism and positive energy

  • Adapt and problem-solve on the fly

  • Contribute to a collaborative, guest-first kitchen culture

What We're Looking For

  • Solid cooking techniques and knife skills

  • Great communication, organization, and leadership presence

  • Experience in upscale or fine dining preferred

  • Familiarity with seasonal menus and premium ingredients

  • WA State Food Handler Card (required)
