Part Time, 1st Shift, 6:30am-3:00pm, Varied Days
This position is responsible for production, portioning and plating cold food items for room service. The responsibilities include cutting vegetables, hydrating greens, slicing meats, preparing emulsified and gelatin salads. This position sets up and maintains the cold food deli on the room service line and works the line during peak meal hours. Responsible for maintaining the cold food tool and assisting with cold food prep for special functions or retail areas as assigned. Communicates identified problems with respective department leadership. Maintains and completes food service and DHEC reports and log. Upholds and enforces excellent production standards at all times. Ensures a standard of cleanliness and sanitation in work area and throughout kitchen by completing sanitation responsibilities as assigned and required. Upholds all DHEC/DNV regulation in regard to food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning and sanitation. Has thorough knowledge of menu items, ingredients, dish room and
preparation procedures, and proper storage to ensure food safety. Performs other duties as assigned by leadership. These responsibilities contribute to meeting the nutrition, safety and specific needs of customers served.
High school diploma/GED or one year experience of applicable food service experience. Knowledge of DHEC regulation. Must have ability and skills necessary to work in high volume food production. Constant standing and walking are necessary. Must exemplify good personal hygiene and strong communication skills.
