As Sous Chef at The Chelsea, you will work closely with the Executive Chef, Kitchen Manager, and Owner to manage kitchen operations, maintain the highest food quality and presentation standards, and lead and inspire the kitchen team.** Your passion for cooking, commitment to consistency, and ability to lead under pressure will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience.
**Key Responsibilities**
Support the team in all kitchen operations, including menu execution, prep, service, and cleanup.
Supervise and motivate the team to maintain consistency, quality, and cleanliness in all areas.
Ensure all food preparation meets the highest standards of flavor, portioning, and presentation.
Monitor compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
Assist with onboarding and training of new kitchen staff.
Step into any kitchen role as needed to support the team.
Stay current with culinary trends and bring creative, seasonal input to menu development.
Support the catering team when needed.
Other duties as assigned. Must be available days, evenings, weekends as needed
**Qualifications**
3+ years of culinary experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety, and inventory management.
Passion for high-quality ingredients, seasonal cooking, and modern plating.
Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
