Cook Will Be Responsible For:

• Prepares and cooks all of foods for patients, cafeteria, and catering according to standardized recipes, minimizes waste and leftover foods.
• Maintains safety, quality, appearance and temperature of food.
• Prepares a variety of foods, including soups, gravies, sauces, vegetables, meats, salads, desserts, cereals, and eggs.
• Follows food production schedules: estimates food amount requirements according to portion standards; eliminates waste and leftovers.
• Maintains working area equipment and storage areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Assists in developing and standardizing new recipes.
• Maintains quality, appearance and temperature of each food produced.

Cook Qualifications

What You Will Need:

High school or vocational school graduate required. Must be able to read and communicate in writing. Must be able to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Six months of quantity cooking experience in a healthcare institution, restaurant or catering service required.
