Job Details Spoon and Stable is hiring a Sous Chef . This is a Full-Time, Exempt position.We are looking for a driven, team-oriented culinary professional to help lead our kitchen as a Sous Chef. Must be able to learn from mistakes, cultivate a positive attitude through good and bad days, and hold to a culture of respect for all team members. Fine dining experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Lead service and energize the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards during service.
- Coach staff to resolve issues in a productive and professional manner.
- Drive efficiency, ensuring scheduled out times are met.
- Step in to cover shifts or stations as needed.
- Plate on the pass and provide support to high volume stations.
- Ensure AM and station prep lists are filled out completely on a nightly basis.
- Ensure that all products are received and stored properly.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Contribute to menu development, develop specials, and work with leftover products to minimize waste and enhance profitability.
- Get familiar with vendors and ordering schedules.
- Properly follow health and sanitation requirements per the Department of Health.
- Other duties as necessitated by business demands.
- Ability to stand on your feet for up to 12 hours.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 pounds.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.

Compensation: Salary ($55,000.00 - $65,000.00)
