Job Description
Pilot Rock Elementary School is seeking an outstanding Assistant Cook. We have a very cohesive, caring staff and Pilot Rock Elementary School is a wonderful place to work. We work on a four-day work schedule. The position will be 3 hours per day, 4 days per week.
Benefits: $1,740 Annual HRA Contribution
The job description for the position is as follows:
Qualifications:
* Physical ability to perform required work
* Able to work without direct supervision
* Able to establish good relationships with students and staff
Performance Responsibilites:
* Prepare and serve food that contains the required daily nutrients in a quick and pleasant manner
* Stock shelves and freezers with the necessary food stuffs
* Ensure that the kitchen and its equipment are clean and sanitary
* Wash and sanitize all dishes and utensils daily
* Responsible for cleaning kitchen
* Report any maintenance problems and/or safety concerns to the principal
* Inventory all items and equipment annually or as required
* Comply with district performance standards as follows:
- Perform work in an efficient, organized, and quality manner
- Comply with all district policies and procedures
- Be punctual, dependable, and complete assigned work in a timely manner
- Follow instructions and accept suggestions in a positive manner
- Work with others in a cooperative and positive manner
- Demonstrate personal habits and maintain appearances that are positive models for our students
- Deal with students and the public in a pleasant and courteous manner
- Take proper care and demonstrate a concern for supplies and equipment
- Communicate with supervisor about concerns
- Keep employee and school business confidential
- Maintain a friendly and cooperative attitude around supervisors, staff, students, and the general public
* Other duties as assigned by the principal
