We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals in a residential treatment facility supporting approximately 30 people per day using applicable USDA and food industry standards for inventory, preparation, storage and serving. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience for our residents and staff.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook meals according to approved menu plans

- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets quality standards

- Collaborate with the Lead Cook to plan and execute meal preparation

- Follow proper food handling and safety procedures

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed

- Adhere to all health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Cook or similar role in the food industry

- Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation

- Proficient knife skills for chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients

- Strong understanding of Federal Food Safety practices and health code standards

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills

- Skills- Cooking (3 years)

- Food service (5 years)

- Meal preparation (3 years)

- Residential Food Service or Restaurant experience a plus

- ServeSAFE or other food handling certification a plus

- Familiarity with food safety regulations
