Position Summary:
The Meat & Seafood Cutter is responsible for cutting, trimming, and preparing fresh meat and seafood products according to department standards. This role ensures high-quality cuts, proper portioning, and compliance with food safety regulations while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.This position reports to the Department Manager.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting with special requests, offering product recommendations, and answering questions about meat and seafood selections.
- Cut, trim, and portion various meats and seafood to meet customer and department needs.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and rotation of products while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Maintain accurate labeling, pricing, and displays to enhance the customer shopping experience.
- Keep work areas clean, sanitized, and well-organized to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.
- Operate and maintain meat cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to uphold department standards and provide outstanding service.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in meat or seafood cutting preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to safely use knives and meat-cutting equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Requirements
Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Stand for extended periods in a cold, refrigerated environment (32F-40F).
- Use sharp knives, saws, and meat-cutting equipment safely and efficiently.
- Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Perform repetitive motions such as cutting, trimming, and packaging.
- Work with raw meat, seafood, and exposure to common allergens.
- Follow safety protocols to prevent injury and maintain a clean workspace.

$20.95 to $24.88
