El Porton Mexican Restaurant is looking for a reliable, motivated full-time Cook to join our team! We are seeking someone with a passion for preparing fresh, delicious Mexican food in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items according to restaurant recipes and standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the shift
Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times
Assist with prep work and chopping vegetables as needed
Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies
Cook food items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Ensure the quality and presentation of dishes before they leave the kitchen
Properly label and store food to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment and utensils
Restock and rotate ingredients to maintain inventory
Communicate effectively with team members and management during service
Follow instructions and handle multiple orders efficiently during busy periods
Requirements:
At least 1 year of previous cooking experience (required)
No formal education required
Must be able to work full-time
Ability to work in a team and follow kitchen procedures
Must be dependable and punctual
