About the Role:
Food Lab is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our Chef Instructors during hands-on cooking classes. This role is crucial in creating a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests by assisting with setup, cleanup, and guest engagement throughout the class. While this is not a cooking role, it is ideal for someone who enjoys hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and loves interacting with people.

Key Responsibilities:

Wash dishes and assist with post-class cleanup

Assist with class prep: food, equipment, and table setup

Pour and serve wine during classes

Welcome and assist guests throughout the class

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace

Support the chef to keep class running on time and smoothly

Be energetic, personable, and guest-focused

Compensation:

$18/hour base pay

Plus $4$6/hour in tips (average)

Requirements:

Evening and weekend availability (5:0010:30 PM)

TIPS certification required for wine service

Serve Safe certification preferred

Must be able to work efficiently, communicate well, and enjoy working with a team

Strong interpersonal skillsthis is a guest-facing role
