Job Details QUALITY ITALIAN is seeking experienced Full and Part Time Prep Cooks to join our team!
Position Summary: As a Prep Cook at Quality Italian, you have a foundational understanding of culinary preparation, excellent time management skills, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for prepping ingredients, maintaining a clean and organized station, and supporting overall kitchen operations, while consistently upholding the highest standards of food safety, sanitation, and teamwork.
Position Requirements:
- Report on time to assigned kitchen station and be prepared for immediate duties as directed by the Manager on Duty (MOD).
- Perform food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables, making stocks, and preparing sauces.
- Support kitchen operations by handling tasks like organizing food deliveries, cleaning, and setting up sanitation stations.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness and adhere to all state and CDC food safety and hygiene guidelines.
- Ensure a clean, well-stocked, and organized work station throughout the entire shift.
- Comply with company uniform, hygiene, and food handling policies at all times.
- Be available to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and working on your feet with frequent bending, reaching, and stooping during the full shift.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with chefs and team members; follow directions and work collaboratively.
- Possess basic culinary knowledge, strong multitasking skills, and a commitment to teamwork and safety in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
