Job summary:

We are seeking an individual experienced in purchasing and inventory control for a high volume, multi-unit restaurant. This position serves as the main point of contact for all food & beverage purchasing. Also interacts with kitchen management from multiple locations with occasional on-site visits.

This career position maintains a modern, efficient inventory control system, directs the work of inventory control staff and interacts with all departmental managers, manufacturers’ reps and vendors.

Duties:

  • Works with staff involved with inventory activities to ensure accurate reporting of inventory.
  • Plans Inventory needs to reduce spoilage, obsolescence and overstocking; while adhering to product specifications and ensuring the highest quality products at the most competitive prices
  • Sets purchasing savings goals by sourcing and negotiating with manufacturers, vendors and suppliers
  • Menu development

Requirements:

  • Culinary Education Required – CIA Grad or Similar Preferred.
  • Tech Savvy.
  • Position requires strong experience in purchasing and inventory control in restaurant or hospitality setting.
  • Knowledge of hospitality and facilities products, w/focus on quality, production, sanitation, cost controls, and presentation.
  • Experience in negotiating supplier contracts.
  • Working knowledge of inventory/sales computer management systems.
  • Kitchen Management Experience.
