Seeking qualified individual to lead the culinary team at an up and coming 37 acre Smoky Mountain resort in East Tennesssee on the edge of the National Park. The qualifed person will have a sincere interest in sourcing the freshest ingredients to leading/managing/motivating his or her staff to produce the finest meals while paying strict attention to the details of labor and food costs--all the while realizing that he or she works in a holistic team including a sales department, a general manager, and an active owner. The Executive Chef, in return, will be given the the reigns to develop and exercise his or her creativity to the greatest extent. All the owners ask --are excellent communication and people skills without any BS. This restaurant will gross $1M annuall made up of ala carte, special events and weddings . So pressure comes from all sides in managing these areas of revenue--- People/ Communications skills are a must along with a creative flair and a sense of flamboyance where appropriate. Speaking is required from time to time to groups. Teamwork skills and a sense of "fun" are paramount. Negativity, Drama, Excessive Drinking, and Drugs, are not tolerated...This restaurant has received many recent awards and is only 2 years old. It is on the cusp of greatness and the utmost care will be taken in sourcing the most qualifed individual. Please do not waste our time if you are not prepared for the leading us to the next level.
