What You’ll Do
- Partner with the Executive Chef to manage daily food service operations.
- Ensure meals are prepared on time and up to quality standards.
- Monitor inventory and place orders as needed.
- Support, train, and mentor kitchen staff.
- Enforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols.
- Step in and oversee kitchen operations when the Executive Chef is away.
Schedule
This position follows a rotational hitch schedule: 5 weeks on, 10 days off. Flexibility to work this schedule is required.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong culinary knowledge, including food preparation and safety standards.
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise, train, and motivate a team.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to manage operations with minimal supervision.
- Safe Serve certification required.
- Experience with Rational equipment and basic computer skills are a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods and work in hot or cold environments (kitchen and freezer conditions).
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment.
