Executive Chef – Lead Culinary Excellence at Barrett's Alehouse West Bridgewater

What You’ll Do

As Executive Chef, you’ll be the driving force behind our kitchen operations — leading, mentoring, and developing a strong culinary team while maintaining the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and efficiency. This is a working chef position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, hire, and train all back-of-house staff, including Sous Chefs and line cooks.
• Set and manage prep levels, food ordering, and inventory to control food cost and minimize waste.
• Ensure timely, consistent execution of all menu items.
• Maintain health and safety standards in full compliance with local codes.
• Innovate and develop seasonal or feature menu items, including recipe costing and standardization.
• Collaborate with FOH teams to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Maintain vendor relationships and manage BOH scheduling and labor budgets.
• Uphold kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance standards.

What We’re Looking For

• 3–5 years of high-volume kitchen management (4.5+ Million food sales annually) experience required
• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to build and inspire teams.
• Solid understanding of food and labor cost control.
• Calm under pressure, with the ability to delegate and multitask effectively.
• Passionate about food quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
