I operate a mobile wood-fired pizza oven, crafting artisan pizzas wherever I can park my trailer. I'm looking for a few dedicated people, passionate about good food, to begin training with us. We are a new business and thus just beginning to grow, work initially will be slow but those who stick with it and show quality work will be able to move into more regular work. Qualifications: You own a vehicle capable of towing a 2500 lb 4x8 ft trailer. Any SUV, pickup truck, or 1974 Lincoln Continental will work. You've got to love food and be able to talk about it...be able to sell the arugula and prosciutto pie when someone looks at the menu and just orders the margherita cause they don't know what prosciutto or arugula is. You can't be afraid of fire. We cook at 700-800 degrees and you will be hot and close to it. I can't guarantee you'll keep all the hair on your fingers. :-) Be ready to do anything to make this venture work: go on emergency shopping runs, wash dishes, make sausage, caramalize onions, knead dough. We want pizzaiolos who engage their customers...you are host, cook, and server all rolled into one, and you only get a few seconds to really connect with each customer. Initial work will be sporadic and you will have the opportunity to select your schedule. You're getting in on the ground floor of a business we are looking to grow. If you are prepared to go out and hustle for locations and find places to set up, you'll have more work and thus more $$. Food service experience is helpful, but if you can cook at home (and I mean really cook, spaghetti with meatballs and noodles you made yourself kind of cooking) that's great too. Shifts last 3-5 hours plus driving time, occasionally longer depending on what's going on. Our kitchen is near I-70 and Wadsworth and you would occasional meet us there to begin or end your shift, most of our work will be within the city of Denver. There is the possibility to work a Lunch and a Dinner shift in the same day. Pay starts at $10 plus tips. If you are making us money, we'll talk about raises and such after a short while.
